Q: Where does the Path start?

A: With the recognition that the way we are presently living is not bringing us the happiness and fulfillment that we think it should. As one makes this recognition, there may arise the curiosity and determination to find a way to achieve greater happiness and fulfillment. After trying many different things that do not seem to work, one starts to look at religion as possibly having the answer. Perhaps one, through the progress of life events such as how you came to be readings these words, is introduced to the Wisdom Teachings of Mysticism, Buddhism, Hinduism or Taoism. While looking into these teachings, one is struck by the teaching to "look within" to find the answers. At this point, one may be introduced to some form of meditation. Or, perhaps one was led to meditation first and through the use of that vehicle, the Wisdom Teachings are found.

Q: What are the "Wisdom Teachings" as you define that term?

A: They are the instructions that by recognizing that one has been conditioned to think as one does via influences (seemingly) external to ourselves, and that there exists the possibility to see through all such conditioning in order to view What Is without the filters of conditioning, ignorance, opinion, preferences and emotion. By learning to see things as they truly are, one begins to see that we are all interconnected to all that exists in a way that defies common societal teachings. As one practices this way of seeing, one grows more accepting, more joyful, more loving and peaceful, internally and externally. Eventually, one finds that this manifest Universe is resting upon the Un-manifested, and that one can not exist without the other. This understanding leads one to the conclusion that if the Manifested cannot exist without the Un-manifested, then they must be one and the same. Often, this conclusion comes as a theoretical observation long before it becomes ones subjective experience. The teachings declare that one MAY SUBJECTIVELY EXPERIENCE the Unity of all through the Awareness of what most religions call "God". After such a subjective experience, one is bestowed with a new realization/understanding/subjective perception of the inner workings of All That Is. With this new Realization, comes the peace, fulfillment, love and joy that one was
missing.

Q: Who am I, really?

You are perfection, Itself. You are a manifestation of the Infinite Whole. What stands in the way of your realizing that is what you have been trained since birth to believe. You were taught to believe that you are separate from all that is around you, yet nothing could be further from the truth. You are totally unique in the Universe (or Multi-verse); there has never been, nor will there ever be, another you. Since you are unique in the Universe, comparing you to anything or any other is impossible, though through ignorance, many try to compare you. The confusion appears when you, in your own unique and perfect self, try to communicate how you experience the Universe to another perfect and unique other. It isn't our experience that is flawed, it is the communication that is flawed. Combine inefficient communication with the conditioning that says we SHOULD be other than what we are (you have been taught to be anything BUT you) and we get the present world-view that we live in an imperfect world.

Living in a perfect world is not difficult, but at the same time, it isn't easy. Simple? Yes. Easy? Not at first. One must investigate how one came to think as one does. "The unexamined life is not worth living." ~ Socrates. Through this thorough investigation, one begins to realize the truth at the core of who one truly is. Once this is realized at a deep, felt/sense level, one's life experience changes to a presently unimaginable degree!

Ask yourself these questions: Is that which my eye can see external to my eye? If not, is that which I can be aware of external to me? Do my thoughts appear in my mind as words, pictures, or both?

Now, what is It that is aware of seeing the pictures or hearing the words? If there is That Which is aware of seeing and hearing your thoughts, it must be obvious that YOUR THOUGHTS ARE EXTERNAL TO WHO/WHAT YOU ARE! Most people spend their whole lives so close to themselves that they never really take a look at what is looking out of their own eyes.
